A suitcase usually spends more time being moved than people realize.
It travels through airports, hotel corridors, car trunks, elevators, pavements, storage rooms, and luggage compartments. It is lifted, rolled, pulled, opened, closed, packed, unpacked, and sometimes handled far more roughly than its owner would ever handle it.
